Dexter Pierce (Dex) was born in Memphis, Tennessee. Currently, he resides and works in Los Angeles, California.

Dex earned a B.A. in film from the University of Memphis and an MFA in writing and directing from the Academy of Art University. Commercials, music videos, short films, documentaries, and behind-the-scenes videos are his areas of expertise..
